A graduate of Guilford Technical Community College, Brenda has been working in the field of dentistry for over 37 years – and she still loves her job. She enjoys coming to work every day and appreciates the flexibility and level of independence associated with her profession. But even more, she loves helping people and knowing that what she does makes a difference in their oral health.
Brenda provides preventive services to help patients sustain and improve their personal and oral health. These services include cleaning teeth, taking x-rays, diagnosing gum disease, nutritional counseling, and educating patients about self-care procedures. Says Brenda, “Over the years I have seen a lot of progress in dental hygiene. This has been a career of constant learning and it has helped me tremendously with both professional and personal growth.”
Brenda has been married to her husband Mark for 28 years. They have two children and one grandson. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, reading and shopping. She is an active member at New Union United Methodist Church. She also serves as a mentor for high school students completing their senior projects. She constantly gives back to her community, by volunteering in a variety of activities.
