Lauren Received her training at UNC Chapel Hill, is certified by the Dental Assisting National Board, and has advanced bite splint training from the Pankey Institute. Lauren has worked at Williams Dentistry her entire career as a Dental Assistant and is responsible for a wide range of duties including chairside assisting, taking x-rays, taking impressions and preparing models to be sent to the lab or for patient education, and making bite splints.
In addition to enjoying her wide variety of tasks, one of the things Lauren likes best about her work is spending time with patients, and says, “I love our patients. They care for us as much as we care for them. This is a relationship based practice and the doctors and staff strive to make personal connections with each patient. Outside of Williams Dentistry I love working at dental clinics. It is such a wonderful opportunity to help those who are less fortunate.”
In her free time, Lauren is the assistant cheerleading coach at Eastern Randolph High School. She, her husband Russell, and their son Brantley enjoy fishing at their family pond, going camping, and watching football. She also enjoys sewing, especially clothing for her nieces.
